ROOFTOP SOCIAL CLUB SETS THE STAGE FOR SPRING WITH NEW COMEDY & CINEMA SERIES, FRESH FOOD TRADERS AND A NEW SEASONAL MAKEOVER

Chester’s Rooftop Social Club is kicking off its spring season with the launch of its brand-new Rooftop Comedy Club on Wednesday 29th April, then set to take place on the last Wednesday of every month.

Hosted by Chester native Danny McLoughlin, the opening night line-up includes Adam Rowe, Liverpool comic and host of the brilliant Have A Word podcast, and Brennan Reece, a TV regular on shows such as Live at the Apollo and Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, plus an additional act to be announced this week.

Hot on its heels is the launch of Rooftop Cinema Club, arriving Thursday 14th May in collaboration with Storyhouse Chester. The new series will see the Rooftop host the popular Moonlight Flicks series every Thursday throughout spring and summer, pairing popular films like Dirty Dancing with street food and themed drinks in the comfort of one of the city's most unique venue.

We are delighted to be working with Rooftop Social Club to bring Moonlight Flicks Outdoor Cinema to more audiences this summer.

Rooftop Social is a perfect match for our programme of cult classics and crowd pleasers, and a great addition to what we already provide each year at Grosvenor Park.

Alongside its new programme of events, Rooftop Social Club has undergone their spring makeover, introducing a brand new Tiki-themed beach bar with a menu of frozen cocktails, spritzers and seasonal specials. The seasonal changeover also sees the return of Lane Shuffle, replacing the winter curling lanes, alongside the addition of a foosball table, new tabletop games and a refreshed look for its popular karaoke booth.

The food offering continues to evolve with the arrival of two new traders. Rare, serving steak, sides and sauces, join an already stacked line-up of Enzo’s Pizza, The Fat Greek and Smash Bros. As well as Krum Gelato, who were recently awarded with a Good Scoop Award for their pistachio flavour, who will be on site throughout the spring and summer months serving its much-loved gelato, perfect for warmer days.

We’ve added even more to our event schedule, brought in some great new partners and really built out what the Rooftop looks like going into spring.

We’re always listening to feedback and looking for ways to strengthen the offering so we’re really excited to see what our guests think about everything coming up at Rooftop Social Club over the next few months.
