Local Spa Entrepreneur Honoured with Royal Invitation

Laura Heywood, owner of The Scented Garden Retreat, is thrilled to announce that she has been invited to attend His Majesty The King’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday 14th May, in recognition of her exceptional contributions to education & skills development.
What began as humble beginnings in a small shop – made possible through a start-up loan from The Prince’s Trust – has grown into a flourishing spa business with two retreat locations and a strong focus on community impact. The business has won many local & national business awards, but beyond her business success, Laura has dedicated herself to empowering young people & advocating for mental health & wellbeing in education & supporting local LGBTQ+ communities.
A passion for Education & Wellbeing - As a volunteer Governor at her local High School, she plays an active role in supporting wellbeing strategies for students, ensuring young learners thrive & develop emotional resilience. This is through weekly assemblies & classes on relaxation techniques.
Laura Heywood, owner of The Scented Garden RetreatTo be invited to the King’s Garden party for services to education & skills is such an honour. It’s a beautiful recognition not just of my business journey, but of the work we’re doing to support children’s mental health, especially at a time when it's needed more than ever.
