RUDY’S CONFIRMS OPENING DATE FOR ITS FIRST PIZZERIA IN CHESTER

Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana has announced it will fire up the pizza oven and officially open the doors to its new Chester pizzeria on Saturday 13th June from 12pm, with table bookings now live

To celebrate the launch, Rudy’s will also host a special charity evening on opening night in support of its charity partner, SHARE Chester, with all proceeds from the event donated directly to the local organisation.

Located in the heart of Chester’s medieval Rows, the new pizzeria will transform the former Carluccio's on Bridge Street. Spanning 4600 sq ft across two floors with space for over 170 guests, it’s set to become the perfect spot to dine this summer.

Taking place on Saturday 13th June from 5pm-8pm, the opening night charity event will welcome locals to experience the brand-new restaurant while supporting SHARE Chester’s work helping people across the city experiencing homelessness and financial hardship.

All proceeds from the evening, including funds raised through an on-site raffle, will be donated directly to the charity. Guests who reserve a table for the event will also receive a complimentary sharing garlic bread. Spots for the charity evening are available to book now here.

The opening marks Rudy’s first site in Chester and its 39th restaurant to date. Since opening its first location in Manchester’s Ancoats in 2015, Rudy’s has grown into one of the UK’s most loved pizzerias, known for its light, double-fermented dough and dedication to true Neapolitan craft.

Testament to its authenticity, Rudy’s is the largest organisation in the world to be accredited by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN), the international body that protects and promotes traditional Neapolitan pizza making.

In 2025, Rudy’s was also recognised among the World’s 50 Best Pizzerias, ranking 23rd globally. Each pizza, from the classic Margherita to the fiery Calabrese, is made to AVPN standards using traditional techniques and ingredients sourced directly from Italy.

We’re incredibly excited to finally open the doors to Rudy’s Chester this June and bring our Neapolitan pizzas to the city for the very first time.

Chester has such a brilliant food and hospitality scene and we’ve wanted to be part of it for a long time, so opening on the iconic Rows feels really special for us. We’re also proud to be launching with a charity evening in support of SHARE Chester and helping raise money for an organisation doing such important work in the local community. Rudy’s pays homage to some of the world’s most renowned pizzerias and pizzaioli around the world through its collaborative limited-edition rotating specials, offering guests exciting new flavour combinations while staying true to their authentic Neapolitan roots.

Recent specials have included The Capuano, created in collaboration with Vincenzo Capuano, the fourth-generation pizzaiolo known for his contemporary take on Neapolitan tradition. The partnership reflects Rudy’s continued commitment to celebrating authentic Neapolitan craft and collaborating with the very best in the global pizza community.

While renowned for its first-class pizzas, Rudy’s will provide the full Neapolitan experience through its well-stocked bar. Customers will be transported to the Italian sun whilst sipping on classics like Aperol and Hugo spritzers, or, for a Rudy’s twist, the Morello Cherry or Mandarino spritzers. Also on offer are ice-cold local lagers and a variety of soft drinks – including the iconic Rudy’s Homemade Lemonade.

Plus, fans with a sweet tooth can enjoy Rudy’s iconic Tiramisu, made fresh everyday - as well as a Panna Cotta Cheesecake topped with red berry compote & white chocolate shavings, plus its Double Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Gelato will be on offer.
