Chester Pride Returns This August!

Chester is preparing to paint the city centre with the colours of the rainbow once again as Chester Pride returns on Saturday 15th August 2026, bringing a day of celebration, inclusivity and entertainment to the heart of the city.

As proud sponsors of the event, Chester BID is encouraging residents, visitors and businesses alike to come together and celebrate one of the city's most vibrant and anticipated events of the summer.

The annual parade will once again weave its way through Chester's historic streets, with thousands expected to line the route in support of the LGBTQ+ community. Businesses, community groups, families and visitors will join together in a colourful display of unity, creating an unforgettable atmosphere across the city centre.

This year's celebrations promise an incredible line-up of live entertainment, featuring Danny Beard, 911, Adam Rickitt, Sonia and many more acts throughout the day, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Alongside the festivities, Chester's businesses will also once again be showing their support by transforming shopfronts with colourful displays as part of Chester BID's annual Pride Shopfront Competition. The friendly competition celebrates creativity while helping to showcase Chester as a welcoming, inclusive destination where everyone feels they belong.

Chester Pride is no doubt one of the standout events in the city's calendar. It's a fantastic opportunity to celebrate diversity, champion inclusivity and showcase everything that makes Chester such a welcoming place to live, work and visit.

We're pleased to be welcoming several thousand guests to our wonderful city once again for Chester Pride, an event that is open to all and will see a sea of rainbows and love descend though the streets of Chester.

For Chester Pride it is important we showcase our amazing city that is very accepting, loving and respectful to all, especially with an array of independent businesses, and purple flag status for our night time economy. We are pleased to continue a partnership with Chester BID that has been there since our first event 14 years ago. The event brings an estimated £1.2m to the local economy and is a firm staple in the Chester events calendar - we hope this will continue especially as we celebrate our 15th anniversary in 2027.

With live entertainment, the spectacular parade and city wide celebrations, Chester Pride 2026 promises another unforgettable day that celebrates love, equality and community.
