Awards success for Chester Magical Attraction

Maroon-fronted The Hole in Wand shop with central stone steps, ornate white balcony and flower boxes, two people entering left and a blurred passerby right.

Chester’s magical mini golf is celebrating after receiving a Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice Award being named in the Top 10% of Attractions with reviews from millions, placing the attraction amongst the best in the world.

Located on Eastgate near the Chester Cross, the magical attraction re-opened in April 2025 following a 3 month closure due to a flood. Since reopening the attraction has gained momentum increasing visitor numbers and scoring high on guest satisfaction continually adding to and improving the attractions offerings. This includes their popular ‘Adult Night’ which has had a sell out run for all 2026 events to date.

This is not the only accolade the team of wizards have achieved this year as they also were awarded their Visit England Accolade for Quality Assurance at the end of January then in March at the Visit Cheshire Awards, The Hole In Wand Chester were named finalists in the ‘Small visitor attraction of the year’ and ‘new Tourism Business’ categories making them a staple in the regions tourism offering.

This May half term the attraction will be presenting its latest offering ‘The Serpents Bite’. Guests visiting between 23rd and 31st May will get the taste the award winning potion, ‘Serpent’s Venom’ and speak the tongue of snakes.

This is a fantastic achievement for The Hole In Wand Chester and a testament to the team’s hard work.
We really try to ensure that each guest has a memorable and magical experience and we are pleased that this has formally been recognised by guests visiting us.
