Chester is set to welcome the world this September as the World Town Crier Tournament arrives in the city!
Twenty-five town criers from across the UK, Europe, North America and Australia will compete in a colourful, eccentric and wonderfully entertaining contest across some of Chester's most iconic locations.
Free to watch and packed with tradition, personality and plenty of volume, the tournament will see competitors battle it out for the title of World Champion, alongside awards for the best-dressed criers and consorts.
