The Subtle Art of Family: Art Competition

This half term, experience The Subtle Art of Family for yourself at Clarendon Fine Art, Chester.

Drop in to explore the art, enjoy a family art-themed treasure hunt, and pick up a complimentary children’s competition pack to take home.

With some brilliant prizes — including the chance to have your child’s artwork displayed in the gallery, a family art consultation with £2,500 to spend in the gallery, plus an iPad mini and Apple Pencil — it’s a relaxed and welcoming way to discover art together.

The Gallery Adventure:

Pick up your sheet and follow the questionnaire. Start by looking around the gallery and find a way of getting around in one of the artworks. You might spot a bus, boat, bike, car, train, taxi, aeroplane… or maybe you will choose to walk. After you’ve finished, take your sheet back to the desk for a small prize!

The Competition:

A Family-themed art competition for children aged 4-14. Brief – It’s all about creativity, imagination, and celebrating the idea of family, whatever that means to you. Return your entry by Sunday 22nd February. Pick up your pack in-store.

Local Gallery Winners – one winner from each gallery will have their artwork framed and displayed and be invited to a gallery celebration where they will be photographed with their artwork and receive a creative art set.

National Winner – All local winners will be considered for overall prize, chosen by artist Doug Hyde. The winning family will enjoy a private art consultation and £2500 to spend on a Clarendon artwork of their choice; the winning child will win an iPad mini and Apple pen.
