MOTHER'S DAY IN CHESTER

I’m the owner and therapist at The Scented Garden Retreat in Chester, and being a mum to three children keeps me on my toes every day.

Balancing business and parenthood comes with its challenges and mum guilt, but seeing my children grow into their own amazing people makes it all worthwhile. From supporting them through milestones to celebrating their achievements, I’m endlessly proud. Being a parent is ever-changing, but the rewards both at home and in business are unforgettable.

Managing a busy restaurant keeps me on my toes, from front of house to accounts, but being a mum to my two boys, 18 and 20, is my greatest pride.

Seeing the little values we’ve instilled in them, like kindness and responsibility, makes me so proud. Balancing work and family isn’t always easy, especially missing special moments, but watching them flourish at uni and in life reminds me it’s all worth it. I love seeing how they grow and bring the same care to our customers in the business.

I’m the Store Manager at Metro Bank on Foregate Street, and I love supporting my team and being part of Chester city centre’s welcoming community.

I’m also mum to my teenage son Henry, whose humour and personality make me proud every day. Balancing work and motherhood has its challenges, but Metro Bank’s support makes it possible. Being a mum is the best and hardest job in the world, and seeing Henry grow into a young adult is incredibly rewarding. Opening our store last year was a career highlight I was thrilled to share with my family.

I work in Sales and HR at Powell’s Jewellery in Chester, and being a mum to our three boys – Charlie, Louie, and Harri – is my favourite role in life.

Juggling work and family can be tricky, but being in a family business allows me to always prioritise the children when needed. It’s the little moments, like first steps, school races, or shared celebrations, that make me most proud. Seeing our boys grow and share in the joy of family achievements is truly special.

I’ve been part of the journey at Pars Kahve since we opened in 2021, managing social media and much of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the business running.

I’m also mum to my daughter Kayra, who is almost three and truly feels like my second heart. Being a mum means unconditional love and being there through everything. Balancing motherhood with running a business isn’t always easy, but seeing Kayra happy and thriving makes me incredibly proud and reminds me why it’s all worth it.

Being a mum is everything to me. I’m part of a busy blended family with three boys aged 7 to 11, and our home has become the family hub – something I absolutely love.

Watching them grow into their own personalities makes me endlessly proud. Balancing motherhood and a career isn’t always easy, but working at Lush in Chester city centre has given me the support to do both, even when I joined the management team as a single parent. I love being a mum and a manager here in Chester.
