Support

Chester BID’s supporting initiatives are here to provide businesses with the help they need to run as effectively as possible. Representing the interests of businesses across multiple groups and boards as well as providing one-to-one support and guidance.

We are a new business, learning to navigate hiring, HR, and contracts. Utilising Chester BID’s HR & Employment helpline saved us time and money and provided us with a clear starting point.
The WorkNest contract templates helped us identify what we wanted to use, whilst ensuring we are doing right by our business and employees. We now also have onboarding documents that make sense for us, remaining rooted in the correct legal processes.

The training provided by Chester BID has been incredibly valuable to us at iKO Projects.
From First Aid and Fire Safety to Customer Experience, it’s not only helped upskill our teams, but has raised the standard of on-the-ground service across the city. The sessions are always relevant, high-quality, and exceptionally well organised.

The support I get from Chester BID is outstanding.
Retailers know they can count on Chester BID for clear updates, footfall insights, and fast support when it matters. Chester BID has a hands-on approach which means concerns don’t just get heard - they get escalated and addressed. It’s about being visible, responsive and genuinely helpful.

Business Grants

Our Business Grants play a vital role in helping businesses grow, improve accessibility, and create an elevated visitor experience within the city. Currently there are two types of grants available, the Business Growth Grant (BGG) and the Accessible Growth Grant (AGG).

Crime & Anti-Social Behaviour

Chester BID works closely with Cheshire Police and Cheshire West and Chester Council to minimise the impact of crime and ASB for businesses within the BID area. From conducting a bi-annual crime and ASB survey to funding police drug dog operations in the city.
